Lisa's Cowl
This cowl is so cosy and comfortable to wear. The garter stitch is soft and squashy, and the cables add visual interest without being too tricky to knit.
In order to have the cowl sit comfortably at the back of the neck, there is a small point added to the back of the cowl. This helps the fabric of the cowl skim your shoulders rather than bunching up at the back of your neck. It fits neatly under your jacket, or sits smoothly on top of jumpers.
The cowl is worked in the round from the top down. Gentle increases shape the cowl so that it spreads out when worn, keeping both your neck and shoulders warm.
The pattern is written for sport weight/5 ply yarn, but it works beautifully in DK or 4ply too! Testers for this design have created some lovely cowls using different yarn weights than specified.
Top circumference of cowl: 22 inches.
Bottom circumference of cowl: 44 inches.
