Our next puppet in the Read Across America Crochet-a-Long is my lion! This lion is made in the likeness of Shalock the Lion Hearted from the children’s book Shalock and the Cloud of Bad Dreams.

Author and illustrator, C.F. Lawrenson granted permission for me to design patterns based on his book characters, and this was made to promote National Read Across America month!

The first pattern in our CAL was the Girl Puppet, based on the Erin character from the same book.
