Body is knit in one piece sideways, starting at the left front. Sleeve caps and bottom hem are shaped with increases and decreases. Sleeved are knit separately, flat and sideways, and set in.

This cardigan was inspired by the ruched bodices of 18th century France I saw while working on the opera The Ghosts of Versailles.
