Lee Wrap got a phenomenal makeover; pattern updated 2.1.24.

Wrap yourself in squishy, reversible texture. This wearable blanket is worked from the top down, all in one piece with no stitches to pick up and seamless set-in sleeves. Two-stitch cable twists are worked without a cable needle on both sides of the fabric for the oversized collar and fronts flowing into a slipped rib texture for back. Blue garment is shown in LolaBean Yarn Co. Navy Bean with strands held double; tan/brown version is shown in a discontinued merino DK weight yarn single stranded (recommended substitute is LolaBean Yarn Co. Pinto Bean). Pattern includes yardage and skein information for both options.

New Pattern Features: This makeover includes 3 new sizes & new featured yarns. It also provides an optional Sleeve Worksheet that takes the knitter step-by-step through adjusting the upper arm stitch count based on the knitter’s desired ease and actual stitch gauge, even if it differs from the pattern gauge. Sleeve Worksheet can also be used to adjust sleeve circumference in other patterns. Lastly, extensive notation for sizing was also added to help the knitter understand crossback measurements and how to use them in conjunction with chest circumference for the best size choice.

Sizing: Blue Wrap is shown in Size 2 with no ease at the Upper Arm. Model’s actual chest circumference is 1.5”/4 cm larger than the corresponding “To Fit Chest” measurement. Model’s actual crossback width is 2”/5 cm smaller than garment crossback. Tan/brown Wrap is shown in Size 3 with 3”/7.5 cm positive ease at the Upper Arm. Model’s actual chest circumference is 6”/15 cm smaller than the corresponding “To Fit Chest” measurement. Because of the unconventional shape and easy fit of this cardigan, these “To Fit” measurements are provided in lieu of a Finished Chest Circumference, as the luscious oversized collar is not meant to overlap. Pattern thoroughly guides the knitter in considering both chest circumference and crossback to choose the perfect size.

Skills needed: Pattern is written for adventurous beginning knitters. Knitters should be comfortable with tracking several easy stitch patterns & basic increasing and decreasing. Knitters should be willing to learn how to work the twists featured on both sides of the fabric. Instructions for twists are written and a video tutorial is also available. Instructions for optional Tubular Hems are also provided.

or

SAMPLE YARN

  • Fingering weight (shown): 8 (9, 9, 10, 11){12, 13, 14}(15, 15, 16) skeins Lolabean Yarn Co. Navy Bean in Calming held double or
  • DK weight: 7 (8, 9, 10, 10){11, 12, 13}(14, 14, 15) skeins Lolabean Yarn Co. Pinto Bean held single

YARN NOTE
I chose to use a fingering weight yarn held double for this project in lieu of alternating skeins. By holding the yarn double, the hand-dyed variations are accounted for in the fabric because each strand is unique. If working this project with a DK or light worsted weight yarn that’s worked single at gauge, be sure to alternate skeins.
