Laventon Hat
The Laventon Hat is inspired by the iconic beanie worn by Professor Laventon in the latest Pokémon game, “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”.
This pattern comes with instructions for two types of hats: A classic beanie and a beanie with earflaps and I-cord ties to secure the hat under the chin, like Professor Laventon does. Both versions of the hat are knit in the round from the brim up, while the earflaps and I-cord ties are knit flat separately. Classic stranded colorwork in 2 colors creates the signature Laventon pattern around the head in six even sections. Simple decreases help shape the crown. To complete the Laventon look, a large pompom is attached to the top of the crown.
Professor Laventon of course loves lavender and giant white pompoms (almost as much as he loves potato mochi), but don’t let that stop you from making this hat in your favorite color combo!
The pattern has been tech edited, but not test knit, hence it’s free status. If you find any errors in the pattern while knitting your hat, please private message me here on Ravelry or email knitbyjules@gmail.com so I may make the proper adjustments. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
