The Land and Sea Shawl is a textured pattern that features the shell stitch, picot, and bobble stitch. It has a 2-row repeat pattern which makes it easier to memorize and crochet all the way!

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
MATERIALS
• 1 Dreamers Yarn Cake from Rena’s Thread and Crafts (100% Polyester, 4-Ply, 300 grams /1500 yards); I used approximately 1450 yards.
• Crochet Hook Size 3.5 mm or size to obtain gauge
• Scissors
• Stitch Marker
• Tape Measure
• Tapestry Needle
GAUGE: R1 to R7 = 4 inches (in pattern)
FINISHED MEASUREMENT: Approximately 70 (width) x 34 (height) inches - Unblocked
STITCHES AND ABBREVIATIONS | US Terminology
Ch(s) – Chain(s)
DC – Double Crochet
FPSC – Front Post Single Crochet
MR – Magic Ring
PM – Place Marker
R – Row/Round
Rep – Repeat
RS – Right Side
SC – Single Crochet
Sk – Skip
Slst(s) – Slip Stitch(es)
Sp(s) – Space(s)
St(s) – Stitch(es)
TR – Treble Crochet
WS – Wrong Side
P3 – Picot with ch 3
TR Cl – Treble Crochet Cluster (TR2together in 1 st/sp)
BO – Bobble Stitch (DC5together in 1 st/sp)
NOTES
- Read the pattern carefully before starting.
- Gauge is not so much of an issue, but included as a guide, especially for the amount of yarn needed to complete this project.
- Stitch markers are optional but recommended. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the row and move as work progresses.
- Asterisks * * indicate pattern repeats. You need to repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as directed or repeat them at specified locations.
- Parentheses ( ) are used to work instructions within parentheses as many times as directed or work a group of stitches all in the same stitch or space.
- Brackets are used to work instructions within brackets as many times as directed.
