Lambie & Doggie
Here’s a soft stuffed toy that you can really hold on to in time of need! Ideal for a toddler or for your friend who’s afraid of flying, this 5 inch toy can be knit up in a day and clutched in your hand for those occasions when you need a little comforting. This pattern can be easily transformed into a dog for those are better calmed by Doggie’s presence.
The model is designed to be soft for a toddler but the legs can be stiffened with a pipe cleaner if your intended recipient is a bit older. Knit with bulky yarn on size 9 double pointed needles, this project goes quickly.
Lambie is knit with 1 ball of Knit Picks Twirl in Cream but any bulky-weight yarn would be a good substitute.
Doggie is pictured knit in bulky weight handspun natural brown wool. Fingering weight yarn or embroidery floss can be used to embroider on the eyes, nose and hooves. This is a quick and comforting project for any little (or big) friends who need a small buddy.
