WAISTCOATS are gay and smart and also give that little extra warmth. These are quick to knit in stocking-stitch and double knitting wool, but the back is worked in single ribbing which ensures a perfect fit. Instructions are given for 4 sizes.

MATERIALS: Of Sirdar Double Knitting Wool, allow 8 ozs. for the 32 to 34, 34 to 36 or 36 to 38-inch bust sizes, or 9 osz. for the 38 to 40-inch bust size. You will also require 1 pair each of Nos. 9 and 10 knitting needles and 5 buttons.

TENSION: Over the stocking-stitch, 6 stitches and 8 rows to 1 inch.

MEASUREMENTS:
1st size — To suit a 32 to 34 inch bust size; length at side edge 17 inches
2nd size — To suit a 34 to 36 inch bust size; length at side edge 17 3/4 inches
3rd size — To suit a 36 to 38 inch bust size; length at side edge 18 1/2 inches
4th size — To suit a 38 to 40 inch bust size; length at side edge 19 1/4 inches
