Lacy Neckerchief with Cupped Shell Edging
Triangular neckerchief/shawlette worked from the neck down.
Delicate openwork lace pattern that adds a feminine touch to any outfit.
The unusual cupped shell edging adds interest to the border and looks great from both sides so no worrying about twisting while wearing.
Quick and easy to work using less than one skein of cotton.
Neck edge measures 158 cm (63”). Neckline to tip of shawl measures 25 cm (10”). These measurements are pre-blocking.
YOU WILL NEED 300 m (330 yds) of cotton yarn in 4ply or fingering weight, a 2.50 mm hook and a needle for neatening ends.
GAUGE 10sts and 3 rows to 5 cm (2”) in UK tr (US dc).
Although the pattern is designed to be worked in 4 ply, instructions are provided for varying the width of the neck edge - this allows you to work in any yarn, at any gauge, and still obtain great results :)
Pattern has both US and UK terms.
Pattern has been fully tested.
