草 | Kusa : Japanese for grass, herb; as in grassland or savannah.

Taking inspiration from windrows etched across sweeping savannah lands, this design draws an elongated motif through the fitted brim to the crown. The articulation of detail is finely rendered in Kusa for a quickly learnt pattern repeat with an outstanding result.

Construction Notes
The hat suggests a Long Tail Cast On. Hat uses a Rib and Grass Stitch brim then worked in the round in Grass Stitch pattern through the body of the hat. The crown is shaped with decreasing stitches whilst continuing the Grass Stitch detail.
