The Kelsey shawl was designed to use one ball of Lion Brand Mandala and to show off the color changes. But of course you can use any DK/sport weight yarn of your choosing.

Make sure to check your gauge so the beauty of the stitch pattern really shows.
Gauge is also important to make sure you end up with a nice drape and to make sure the shawl doesn’t end up too stiff and short.

If using the Mandala yarn make sure to wash and dry it once the project is complete because the yarn softens considerably.
