Kaigu Socks are designed for showing off your beautiful lightly speckled or solid yarn. And your skills!

They got their inspiration from Japan, my endless source of beauty. Stitches are that like voices echoing back and forth in closed space.

The socks are worked from the toe up. You’ll apply the stitch pattern on the top side, and on the back side work twisted ribbing and stockinette stitch on the sole. If you don’t want to work bobbles, don’t worry, I’ll give you the instructions how to skip them. Instructions are on written and also as on chart.

The heel is made with a flap, but you don’t need to pick up any stitches. You’ll just decrease all the extra stitches away.

The pattern is written for 2 different kinds of sock yarn, for heavier (approx. 350 m/100 g, 380 yd/3,5 oz) and lighter (approx. 400-425 m/ 100 g, 437-464/3,5 oz) yarn. The sizing is simple for both yarns: nice and comfortably loose because of the ribbing. If you have super slim foot, just follow the heavier yarn st numbers with lighter yarn. So 2 sizes for lighter yarn.

The pattern is written for both the magic loop method and DPNs.

You get the best result if you choose a yarn that is not too busy. Solid, semi solid or lightly speckled gives the most delicate look.
