A cosy cardigan for colder weather. In Scots, kaav means a blizzard, or a heavy snowfall.

A Domra: 3 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7) x 100g skeins 
B Alto: 5 (6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10) x 50g skeins

Check sizing table for garment dimensions. Yarn quantities are calculated for the body and sleeve lengths given in the sizing table. If you wish to add length to body and / or sleeves, you may need an extra skein of shades A and B.

Gauge
22 sts and 30 rounds to 10cm / 4in over stranded colourwork in the round using gauge-size needle. If your gauge tends to tighten when working small circumferences or colourwork, you may need to go up a needle size for sleeves. Use 4mm needle as a starting point for swatching.

Pattern notes
This steeked cardigan is knitted from the bottom up, all in one piece, with allover stranded colourwork, following a simple 4 stitch repeat. The body is made first, followed by the sleeves, before they are joined together. After a short section of raglan shaping worked in the allover pattern, the circular yoke is worked from a chart, followed by the neck rib. After the garment is completed, steeks are cut and front bands added. All charts are read from right to left throughout. Note that the 9 steek stitches are not included in running stitch counts.
