There is something spectacular about Bells of Ireland. They are tall, stately flowers with lovely cupped petals. They have multiple flowers that flow from base to tip. Known as a “lucky” flower, I decided that they were a wonderful inspiration for a hat. Hopefully you to will enjoy the stately cables and lace columns of this lightweight hat inspired by Bells of Ireland.

This pattern is meant for adventurous novice knitters to experienced knitters and all those in-between.

Yarn: 1 Skein Feza Harvest Fingering Weight, 500 yards, 100% Organic Superwash Naturally Dyed Merino, color Pistachio

Needle: US 2 (2.75 mm) Hiya Hiya Circular needles or needles to obtain gauge

Gauge: 6.6 stitches per inch (spi) and 8 rows per inch (rpi) OR 26 stitches & 32 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette

Size: 18, 20, 22 inches around, 7 to 9 inches long

To alter the size: Adjust your gauge to increase or decrease the circumference of the hat as needed. Alter the width as desired.
