This Fair Isle Cowl is a very fun knit. It features full color charts only for directions. You can personalize it with your name (up to 6 letters), initials or any other word you like. Some examples for other words could be; DREAM, FAITH, LOVE, JOY, SNOW, HOPE, etc.
It is knit in the round, starting with provisional cast on. You will join the two ends together with the Kitchener Stitch.

Materials:
Size US 1.5 (2.50mm) needles to knit in the round (I used 16” circular)
Yarn: Main Color 100 grams solid Fingering Weight (I used Cascade Heritage in Real Black)
About 8 different colors under 50gms (this is a great way to use up your solid scraps) (Colors of Cascade Heritage Yarn I used, White, Fuschia, Strawberry Cream, Lilac, Olive Branch, Raspberry, Citron, Purple Hyacinth, & Turquoise.) You do not have to use 8 colors, you can use less or add more. Totally up to you. It would also be a great way to use up your mini skeins of yarn.

Gauge: about 8.5-9 stitches per inch, and about 9 rows per inch in stocking stitch. Of course, gauge is
not a big issue in a cowl. You can adjust needle size for desired size.

Size: Cowls can be made any length desired but the cowl pictured is 36”, width is 6.25”.
