“I Just Dropped My Scarf” combines mini-cable stripes with airy drop-stitch stripes. The stitch pattern is simple and easy to work – after a few rows, you will have memorized it. This makes this shawl an ideal handbag project. The magic of the pattern unfolds in the last row when the drop stitches are dropped off the needle, the airy stripes unravel and the shawl expands to its full length.

„I Just Dropped My Scarf“ kombiniert Streifen aus Minizöpfen mit luftigen Streifen aus Fallmaschen. Das Muster ist einfach und flüssig zu stricken, schon nach wenigen Reihen kann man die Anleitung zur Seite legen. Das macht diesen Schal auch zu einem idealen „Mitnahme-Projekt“. Seinen vollen Zauber entfaltet das Muster in der letzten Reihe, wenn die Fallmaschen von der Nadel gleiten dürfen, dadurch die luftigen Lochstreifen entstehen und der Schal sich zu seiner vollen Länge streckt. Der sanfte glockige Abschluß an den Schalenden gibt dem Gestrick das notwendige Gewicht um gut um den Hals liegen zu bleiben, ohne den Schal schwer wirken zu lassen.
