Hunter's Orange
This balaclava keeps you cozy and visible! It comes in one size (22” circumference), but if you want to size up, I recommend multiples of 8 to keep the rib pattern consistent.
You can use any aran or heavy worsted that gives you a comfortable fit (my gauge was approximately 6.5 stitches to the inch); the sample is done in acrylic but wool would be phenomenal since a light natural felt (just with wear - please note I haven’t tested this pattern with felting!) will be great to keep the wind out.
Use as many colours as you want, and customize the head to give you a unique accessory. Include bright colours to keep you visible against the snow if you’re out and about in the woods this winter!
Please note! This pattern has not been tested - if you find any errors, or if you think it needs clarification, let me know!
Pattern update: Stitch count corrected from 78 to 62 for face bind-off.
