Wer mit gusseisernen Töpfen kocht, braucht gute Topflappen! Diese Topflappen sind einfach zu stricken, und fassen sich richtig gut an. So ein Topflappen muss vor allem funktionieren: Er darf keine Löcher durch weite Maschen haben, er muss flexibel sein, damit man richtig zugreifen kann, er darf nicht zu groß sein, damit er nicht in die Soße hängt und er muss einen Aufhänger haben… diese Topflappen “Hot” erfüllen alle diese Anforderungen und sind deshalb die Alternative zum guten alten Häkeltopflappen.
In der Anleitung werden zwei Farben des Garns Rowan Creative Linen verwendet. 1 Strang könnte ganz knapp ausreichen um beide Topflappen zu stricken, ich habe es aber nicht ausprobiert!

Who cooks with cast iron pots, needs good potholders! These potholders are easy to knit and feel great. Such a potholder shall function above all: it shall not have holes through wide meshes, it shall be flexible so that you can access properly, it shallt not be too big, so it does not hang in the sauce and it shall have a hanger .. These potholders “Hot” meet all these requirements and are therefore the alternative to the good old crochet potholders.
The instructions use two colors of the yarn Rowan Creative Linen. 1 hank could be just enough to knit both potholders, but I have not tried it!
