Note
This shawl is worked from Leaf 1 in Garter stitch by increasing sts in the middle. The curves of the leaf edges are shaped with German Short Rows. Sts are decreased toward the tip of Leaf 1. At the same time, CO for Leaf 2 and start working it by increasing sts. Leaf 1 will have been completed before working the short rows for Leaf 2. So from that point forward, you will only be working on short rows for Leaf 2. Repeat these steps, and when finishing Leaf 5, pick up sts in I–Cord on leaf edges. The border lace pattern edging is worked at a right angle to the body by K2tog with a st in the body. (Repeat of K2tog and YO)

Note
このショールは葉1から編み始め, ガーター編みで目数を増やしながら葉の中央まで進み, German short rowで引き返し編みをしながら葉のカーブを作る.
葉の先端に向かっては, 葉1の減目をしながら同時に葉2の作り目をして目を増やしていく.
葉2の引き返し編みが始まる手前で, 葉1の目がなくなるため, 葉2の引き返し編みに専念することができる. これを繰り返し, 葉5を編み終わったら, 葉の片側のI-Cordの目を拾って, ボーダーとしてアクセントになる模様編み (K2tog, YO の繰り返し) をする.
ボーダーは, 横方向に進みながらボディの目とK2togしつつ, レース模様を編んでいく.
