Holiday Lights Wreath
Shine bright this Christmas with a crochet light bulb wreath. Bulbs can also be joined for a garland. You can spell any Holiday greeting you want- you can make the wreath larger or smaller to accommodate a different number of letters.
Materials
• Sprightly Acrylic Worsted (100% acrylic; 216 yds 198 m/3.5 oz 100 g; Black #501-007 (Color A), Misty Green #501-0 (Color B), Grass #501-012 (Bulb Color C), Lagoon #501-010 (Bulb Color D), Mulberry #501-022 (Bulb Color E), Flame #501-019 (Bulb Color F), Denim #501-004 (Bulb Color G), – 1 skein each.
• One metal ring that measures 8” in diameter (I used Darice Brand) You can find them at your local craft store or online here: https://www.createforless.com/Darice-Brass-Metal-Rings-8-... Please Note that if you decide to add or subtract the number of bulbs in your wreath, you may need a different metal ring size. It would be best to assemble the bulbs into a circle first, then measure it for the proper ring size.
• Small plastic ring for hanging wreath. I used a ¾” cabone ring that was sold as a stitch marker for knitting. These can also be found at your local craft store or online here: https://www.createforless.com/Boye-Cabone-Rings-3/4-in.-W...
• Polyester Fiberfill (for stuffing each Bulb)
Tools
• Size F/5 (3.75mm) crochet hook (or whatever size will give you the correct gauge), AND E/4 (3.5mm) hook (or one size smaller than the hook you used to get gauge). The smaller hook is only used for making the letters.
• Stitch markers
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Quilters pins
Size
Wreath measures about 13.5” in diameter. Each Bulb measures about 4.75” long and about 1.75” in diameter at the widest point.
