Warm, Cozy and Easy Pompom Hat

The perfect beginners colorwork project. It’s a quick and easy knit with a simple two-color charted pattern.

NOTE: The updated version doesn’t use Drops Nepal as the Alpaca was causing some gauge/size problems. IF you wish to have the old version of the pattern please contact me. Also there are now two adult sizes.

Yarn
Quince and Co Lark – Worsted weight
134 yds / 123 m per 50 g / 1.76 ounces

Color A: Canvas 117 – 1 skein*
Color B: Apricot 137 – half a skein
For size Large I used the whole skein, you might need a second skein to be safe.

Needles
5 mm / US8 circular needles (16” cord or longer for magic loop)
5 mm / US8 dpns

Gauge: IMPORTANT
Due to significant variance between knitters it’s very important to swatch beforehand to insure the right gauge in the round.
Since the yarn is aran weight a difference of even one stitch will make a significant change in the size and could make the hat too tight. Keep measuring the gauge as you go as it might vary from stockinette to colorwork.
