“hitsujihumo” name of this pattern means “Altocumulus cloud”. It is called so because it looks like a flock of sheep in Japan. And, in this pattern, I think that it is a coined word that adds “Hitsuji=a sheep” and “gumo=a cloud”.
We have matching mittens, but the sheep pattern on the cap is one size larger than the mittens.
