Hidas is your cowl when the weather gets colder and you need something to warm up your – or your friend’s – neck quickly. It is knitted from one small skein of luxurious silk blend which caresses the skin.

It fits men, women and children.

The technique used is sequence knitting which I discoverd in Cecilia Campochiaro’s marvellous book on the subject. You start with a sequence of stitches and repeat and repeat again – until your yarn is finished and the cowl is ready to use.

This is also a very suitable beginner project as you just need to know how to cast on stitches, knit, purl and finally bind off stitches.

I would love to see your projects - please add them to ravelry and link them to the project page.

Hidas means slow in Finnish.
Knitting this cowl is slow life at its best. Try it!
