Haydn - Mosaic
Mosaic tiles have been around for thousands of years, beautifully created by artists over time just like a beautifully composed Sonata or Concerto . Mosaic knitting is the same, a fine mix of yarn and needles composing beautiful works of art, first created by the wonderfully talented Barbara G. Walker. We have a selection of our own works of art that we chose to name mostly after great composers or their compositions in history. Works of art as beautiful as the sweet sounds of classical music.
Mosaic knitting can look very intense and the pattern instructions confusing to someone who is new to the technique… It is not hard at all and can be quite addicting once you get the hang of it :) It literally is a 2 row pattern using only 1 colour at a time.
There are some great videos on YouTube that can guide you through!
You will need 2 contrasting colours of about 35 to 40 yards each, and you will need 2 -24” circular for the optional edging.
Pattern is charted with written instructions on how to read the chart.
