The front and back of Harvey are worked back and forth separately and seamed. Stitches are picked up to work the cowl neck and armhole edges in the round. While the pattern calls for circular needles, if you prefer, you may work back and forth on straights.
GAUGE: 22 sts + 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st, 24 sts + 36 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Chart A, after blocking.
NEEDLES: 1 - 16” (40 cm) + 1 - 24” (60 cm) US 5 (3.75 mm) circular.
NOTIONS: Stitch markers, cable needle, stitch holder or waste yarn, tapestry needle.
SIZE: 31 (34.25, 38.5, 43, 47, 50.75)” 78.75 (87, 98, 109.25, 119.5, 129)” cm finished bust. Vest is designed to fit with appx 2” (5 cm) positive ease.
SKILLS: Cabling from a chart, seaming, knitting in the round.
