The “HARPER” beanie - soft, warm, and cute as a button

As simple as it is sweet, this little rainbow striped beanie is knit in the round from the bottom up. Instructions for both preemie and newborn sizes are included. My grandson, Alex, was born prematurely at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. 50% of the net proceeds from the sale of this pattern are donated to their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as my way of saying “thank you” to their incredible team.

THE BASICS

• Pattern includes 2 sizes: Preemie and Newborn

• Pattern is written in ENGLISH and uses standard U.S. knitting terms

• Instructions are for knitting in the round on double pointed needles

• Knitting skill level - ADVANCED BEGINNER

• Gauge: 28 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm)

• Knitting I-cord

SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED

• Approx. 33 (53) yds / 30 (48) m fingering weight yarn for hat

• Set of U.S. size 2 (2.75 mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• Stitch marker

• Yarn needle
