Gresham Park Top
The Gresham Park Top was inspired by a top I saw on a popular clothing store’s website. I of course made my own modifications but I loved the idea of mixing a fun almost polka dot pattern with a simple stripe. The top has a simple drop shoulder and a short length sleeve. Its fairly fitted with 2” of positive ease.
Sizes
This design is available in two sized patterns one for girls and one for women. Here’s some sizing info.
Women: XS(S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X)
Chest: 28”(32”, 36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”)
Finished chest: 30”(34”, 38”, 42”, 46”, 50”, 54”)
I have also provided a simple schematic. This will help you choose the size that’s right for you. You can read more about that HERE.
Skill
The pattern is rated as an intermediate level pattern. There’s quite a few color changes (I’ve written it so there’s not a ton of ends to weave in) and the stitch pattern on the top portion may be a bit tricky at first. I have also included a stitch chart to help you with that.
Yarn
For my samples I used Cascade Yarn’s Ultra Pima. which is a 100% cotton DK weight yarn. I was so exited to use this yarn! I had been looking at it for a while. First, there are so many beautiful colors to choose from. Second, the yarn is perfect for a project like this. I really liked the quality of the yarn. I haven’t used very many cottons that I’ve liked so I was defiantly impressed by this one. I washed both of my samples and they came out looking great!
Women: 2(2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4) hanks Navy/3723 (color A) and Natural/3718 (color B)
