Pattern No. 5 in the Year of Kaleidoscope Knitting 2020

A scarf that could go on forever, meandering on its way, changing colour as it goes.

This piece can be varied in any way you like. Make it wider, wide enough for a shawl version. Make it shorter. Add more colour. Add less.

As you can see, I went a little wild and made it super-long. I was having so much fun with it, I couldn’t make myself stop. I finally called it done at 7 m./7.6 yds. after having used about 1500 m./1640 yds. of fingering weight yarn.

This is the ideal project for using up those bits of leftover self-striping and hand-painted yarns that you have lying around, too pretty to be thrown away.
