Did you know more than 9 billion kernels of Candy Corn are sold each year? Gizmo is inspired by candy corn, such a traditional Halloween treat!

The pattern is an easy level and uses US terms. A knowledge of how to crochet is essential as it does not teach you how to crochet, it simply provides instructions to make the toy.

Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Gizmo is approx. 16cm tall x 18cm long.

You will receive one PDF file which requires software like Adobe Reader to open (this is free to download).

You will need:

• 3.50mm hook/E (US)
• 10ply yarn (Worsted / Aran) > 50g TAN and less than 50g in the remaining colours
• WHITE embroidery thread
• A pair of 10mm safety eyes
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Polyester toy stuffing
• Stitch marker (optional)

Notes:

• Amigurumi is usually worked in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.
• Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
• I’ve used Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/8 in the following yarns: o TAN = colour 09 Nougat o WHITE = colour 01 White o YELLOW = colour 23 Lemon o ORANGE = colour 20 Orange o BLACK = colour 123 Charcoal
