“Gesa” is a really easy-to-knit triangular shawl, worked from one edge to the other. You start with casting on 3 sts only and shape the triangle by simple increases and decreases. I worked a quite small shawl, but it’s very easy to increase the measurement to your desire. So, just knit until there’s no yarn left :-)
The slip stitch patterns are always worked with one color at the time, The patterns are charted, but the charts are not really necessary, if you are familiar with adapting patterns to increases and decreases.
Materials:
- 4 shades of any yarn that fits ths yardage of 435 per 100 g. I used the handdyed tweed yarn “Tweed me!” from Buttjebeyy (www.buttjebeyy.de). Colors I used are “Hibiskus”, “Blauholz”, “Blauholz-Mix” and “Johannisbrot”. You need 1 skein of each color (for my shawl I even needed only 50 g of each color).
- US 4 (3,5 mm) circular needles
- Tapestry needles
Gauge
24 sts and 44 rows = 4” (10 x 10 cm) in garter stitch after blocking
