Gemstone Wristers
Gemstone wristers are worked seamlessly in the round with a slip stitch colorwork pattern creating depth and drama in color and texture, a fascinating fabric inspired by the luxurious woven fabrics of Chanel jackets. A seamless design with only one strand of yarn worked per row, make them a simple and pleasurable knit.
The 100% wool supermerino yarn maintains the structure of the ribbing and and provides warmth and foil for the shimmer of the brightly-dyed silk yarn. The electric coral-peach-fuschia custom color way “Gemstone” was dyed for me by Art Yarns. This particular color combination makes me think of sparkling gemstones (paparadscha sapphires, perhaps?) and bleached beach rocks.
