Gather a colorful pile of fingering weight yarns to knit this scraptastic garter stitch sweater. The top-down construction makes the sweater easy to try on and customize the length as you knit. Two strands of fingering weight yarn are held together throughout the entire project for the ultimate stash busting sweater. Squishy garter stitch is framed by ribbing for a very easy to knit sweater, ideal for adventurous beginners and experienced sweater knitters alike.

Sizes
XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)

Finished Measurements
34 (39, 42, 45, 50, 54, 58, 62, 65)″ / 86 (99, 107, 114, 127, 137, 147, 157, 165)cm finished chest circumference. Measurements taken after blocking.

Yarn
Fingering weight held double

The marled fabric holding two strands of fingering weight together results in a DK weight gauge

Yardage
Approximately 1800 (2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500)yds / 1646 (1829, 2286, 2743, 3200, 3658, 4115, 4572, 5029)m

These yardage estimations are overestimated a bit, so you should have more than enough yarn to complete your sweater. I recommend getting a big pile of yarn so you have more than enough color choices to work with as you knit.

The yardage estimations are for the total yarn amount using fingering weight held double.

Shown in
A variety of fingering weight yarns including Qing Fibre Dashing Sassy & High Twist BFL, Undercover Otter Squirm Sock & Singularity, West Wool Bicycle, West Wool Glowhair, Walk Collection Cottage Merino, & Life in the Long Grass Singles.

Gauge
20 sts & 38 rows = 4″ / 10cm in garter stitch after blocking using larger needles
