These creepy crawlies are all little helpers in your garden; the millipedes and snails feed on decaying matter which improves soil health, whilst wasps, moths and bluebottle flies are helpful pollinators, and ladybirds also eat pests that harm your plants. This set of six toys use simple increases and decreases for shaping, with knits and purls for texture.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES:
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 25g in each colour.


NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and domed black half shank buttons for eyes.

SIZES:
One size only - Wasp and Bluebottle 14cm tall, Ladybird 9cm long, Snail 16cm long, Moth 15cm tall, Millipede 20cm long (heights include antennae).

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
