Four Seasons Shawl
This shawl was inspired by paint being mixed on an artist’s palette. Every time the colours meet new nuances appear.
It is a sideways triangular shawl knitted in garter ridge stitch starting with only three stitches. There are increases on every other row until you bind off.
The sideways construction creates a fabric on the bias which drapes well.
Level: Absolute beginner.
The shawl is shown in size L using my hand spun and hand dyed yarn. Originally the pattern called for 4 ply sock yarn:
Yarn: Louise Robert Designs Super Sock 2 (3, 4) skeins.
Needles: 3.75mm circular needle (US5).
The pattern was originally published by Biscotte yarns in English and French. The rights have reverted to me so you can purchase it from me by clicking “buy it now” above.
It is also available in English/French from Biscotte yarn/Louise Robert Designs. The original shawl was knitted in Louise Robert Yarn Super Sock in colour way Pistachio ice cream in size S.
