A pair of toe-up socks designed with two types of stitch patterns, inspired by the designer’s trip to Guernsey Island. The resulting fabric is stretchy and interesting to knit throughout. Solid colors are recommended for this project to show of the patterns.

Note
This pattern is written as if the knitter is using the Magic Loop Method. The top of the foot is worked across the first needle and the sole of the foot is worked across the second needle. DPNs can be used instead. Work instructions for first needle across 1st and 2nd DPNs, for second needle work across 3rd and 4th DPNs. The cables consist of two stitches and can be easily switched around without a cable needle but this would be up to the knitter.

Note
このパターンはマジックループを使うことを前提に書かれている. 足の甲部分は最初の針で, 足裏部分は二番目の 針で編む. 短針を代わりに使ってもよい. その時は, 最初の 針の目を1・2番目の針に, 2本目の針の目は3・4番目の針 に置く. 2目の交差編みは縄編み針を使わなくとも, 簡単に編める.
