2023 Slow Yarn Crawl pattern from Apples to Oranges
Named for the migratory ospreys often spotted along Oregon’s lakes, reservoirs, and rivers from springtime to early fall. These birds are talented aerial acrobats, often seen diving into water bodies from heights of 30-100 feet!
Pattern features an arching lace pattern with air beneath each “wing”, emulating an osprey diving for its dinner.
Cowl is worked in the round, in one piece, from the top-down.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Finished Measurements: 20” (50.8)cm X 24” (60.9)cm circumference X 12” (30.48 cm) tall.
Yarn: Malabrigo Noventa; 100% Superwash Merino Wool; 90 yds(82m) /125 g skein;
Color: 026 Continental; 2 skeins.
Needle: US 11 (8.00 mm) & US 13 (9.00 mm), 24” Circular Needles.
Gauge (Unblocked): 14 sts & 16 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in st st on smallest needles.
Notions: 7 Stitch markers & 1 tapestry needle (for weaving in ends).
