This pattern is great for beginning knitters and/or as a teaching tool because it uses an easy knit and purl stitch pattern with a two round repeat. For more advanced knitters it is a quick and easy project. The stitch pattern for this short cowl creates a completely reversible cowl, looking the same on each side. Variegated yarns would also work really great in this pattern. It uses a size 8 (5.00 mm), 24-inch circular needle and 200 yards of worsted weight yarn.
