• The Fairweather Sweater is an oversized v-neck pullover with ¾ length sleeves.
• It is knit in one piece from the top down using fingering weight yarn, with a classic cabled pattern throughout. You start by working the back piece with short row shaping at the shoulders, then you pick up for your fronts and work until the underarm while creating your v-neck shaping. Your piece is then joined in the round, and once you’ve knit it to your preferred length, you work a notched split hem. When your body is complete, you pick up your sleeves from the armhole opening and knit them down to ¾ length, decreasing gently for a roomy fit. Finally, you pick up stitches for the collar and knit a wide band with a beautifully centered decrease at the V.
