Evanescent Slouchy Hat
Evanescent: transitory; fleeting.
Inspired by love and named for the brief time of childhood.
This design is worked from the brim up. It is created using tiny twist cables that flow smoothly from the double ribbed brim and surround a single panel of interlocking cabled hearts. The hearts are completed before the crown is shaped to give this slouchy hat its distinctive appearance.
The pattern is provided with written instructions and charts for the cables.
Amaranthine Hat is a beanie style variation which features panels of the interlocking hearts.
