Europos Scarf
Knit a piece of textile history!
The pattern for this scarf is based on Barbara Walker’s interpretation of the Dura-Europos “knitting” fragment (later proven to be nalbinding, not knitting at all. More information can be found in the excellent Knitty article on the subject here).
The scarf is reversible and knits up quickly because of its shape. It’s really like knitting only half a scarf!
The pattern includes instructions for both DK and worsted weight yarn. Scarf requires approximately 300 yards of DK or 220 yards of worsted.
