The City of Essaouira is located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. The old town, Medina, is a Unesco World Heritage listed city. Essaouira is an ancient trade city, and today it is a popular tourist destination.
Essaouira socks are knitted cuff-down using fingering weight sock yarn. There is only one size available, but the size can be adjusted by changing the needle size. Socks are stranded knitted using two colors. The cuff is worked in an easy cable pattern. The socks feature heel flaps and round French heels, with wide toe decreases. Gusset decreases are worked on the bottom of the sole.

Women, sock circumference 20 cm (7.8”).

Fingering weight sock yarn. Sample socks used Drops Fabel (75 % wool, 25 % polyamid): 100 g or 400 m
Main color (MC) turquoise: 70 g or 280 m
Contrast color (CC) white: 30 g or 120 m
