This pattern was part of the gift given to the Hill Country Yarn Crawl 2012 participants.

Simple knit and purl stitches are used to create a rich faux-bois woodgrain effect. The ribbing of the back of the hand swirls and swerves as it moves around a detailed knot-hole in the grain, finding it’s way back to regular ribbing. The palms are done in a quick and smooth stockinette. A wide range of sizes also make these wearable by both men and women.

A huge debt of gratitude goes to the unequaled Kennedy Berry for her expert layout and photography and editing and extraordinary patience.
