The Elephant tea cosy knitting pattern from TeaCosyFolk was inspired by a life long love of elephants.

The main part of the tea cosy is the elephant and head and legs are knitted separately and sewn on. There are black safety eyes on the head that are then given knitted eyelashes that look really cute. Elephants have big everything and they have beautiful long eyelashes and I wanted to capture that.

The elephant tea cosy is a brightly coloured decorated elephant all ready for a festival. She has adornments on her neck, back head and even on her legs. The decorations can be any colours you like, but I thought that clashing colours would work well together and pop.

It’s a lovely tea cosy and being bright and cheerful, it’s perfect for brightening up the dullest of autumn days.
