A dramatic wrap, whose graphic energy was inspired by Kinlochleven, the “electric village” of the Scottish Highlands

B: Onyx; 2 x 25g balls
C: Pearl; 2 x 25g balls

Needles and notions
Gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type / length. Stitch markers (if required) for separating pattern repeats and slipped st edging. Tapestry needle.

Gauge
20 sts and 24 rows (12 ridges) to 10cm / 4in over chevron stripe pattern using gauge-size needle. Gauge was achieved with 3.75mm / US 5 needle. Gauge is not crucial in this pattern, but bear in mind that
differences may significantly affect yarn quantities and
finished size of hap.

Finished length: 229cm / 90in
Finished width at widest point: 89cm / 35in

Pattern notes
A few stitches are cast on, the neat slipped stitch edging is established, and plain and chevron stripe sections are worked alternately in 3 different shades. Increases are progressively incorporated into one long side of each section to create a dramatic wrap with a large triangular shape. After working a couple of sections without shaping, Electric Village concludes with a final chevron-stripe flourish.
