A slouchy, zigzaggy hat with a pompom, warm and fuzzy and not too serious.

Use sport-weight or light dk wool, alpaca, blends: will work in anything that’s not too busy.

A sharp needle will help with the stitch pattern, but otherwise it’s a nice easy knit.
