Dream Motif Tunic
Inspired by bold graphics and flowing tops of the late 60’s, this tunic will dreamily float around you. Whether you wear it open and baggy, belted at the waist, or just cinched under the bust; it will be a bold new piece to your wardrobe. The construction is purely from granny motifs that can be joined as you crochet or joined once they are all complete. Yarn:
Oasis by South West Trading Company (CYCA #2), 100% soysilk; 240 yd/ 100g:
#502 sapphire
5,(6, 7, 8) balls
Hook:
US H/8-5.0mm and F/5- 3.75mm or hooks needed to obtain gauge
Notions:
Tapestry needle
(2) 5/8” dia buttons
(1) snap closure, matching sewing thread and needle
Gauge:
4½” x 4½” =Granny Motif with larger hook
4” x 4” = Granny Motif with smaller hook
Size:
Garment fit is oversized.
S (M, L, XL) fits 34 (39, 44, 50)” bust circumference. Actual chest size is 45” (51”, 56.5”, 63.5”). Tunic shown in a Medium.
Notes:
Work motifs for small and large sizes with smaller hook. Work medium and x-large sizes with larger hook.
Work the first Granny Motif completely and then join the following motifs on the last round (see Joining Two Motifs).
