Doucet is Middle-English for “sweet”, and that’s what these socks are, too! Throughout December you’ll discover what my friend HetWolbeest loves about the Advent season.
This fully stranded & charted mystery KAL sock is split into 24 little chunks of knitting, one for every day of the Advent season. You can make it even more fun by using an Advent yarn calender!

The first page with information will be available first (around Nov 20-22), and later the pattern pages will be added daily, starting on December 1st. (I’m on European time, so I may post them a few hours earlier than expected)

I will post a link below to a chatter thread once that is up and running, as well as a few interesting YouTube links for (stranded) knitting tips.

Later in the month December I hope to publish a few matching patterns with the same stranded motifs for a dk weight hat and a mitten pattern. These haven’t been tested yet because I didn’t want the matching sock motifs to leak out. During the Advent period these patterns will be free to download for everyone who buys the Mystery sock pattern, and after Christmas they will be split up into separate patterns.

In Middeleeuwse Engels betekende het woord doucet “zoet”, en dat zijn deze sokken ook. Al breiend door december zal je ontdekken wat Het Wolbeest bij advent vind passen.

Dit is mijn eerste advent MKAL sok patroon en ik kijk ernaar uit het met jullie te delen. In de loop van de maand komen er nog een aantal patronen bij, gratis voor iedereen die de sock patroon heeft omdat ze nog niet getest zijn. Na Kerst zal ik de bijpassende muts en wanten patronen apart publiceren.
