Dorsett
Worked from the top down, this stranded colourwork sweater has a large stitch repeat in the yoke, and optional colourwork charts for the body and sleeve.??
This sweater is part of a informal series inspired by William Gibson’s Neuromancer - it’s named for Henry Dorsett Case, a hacker who navigates cyberspace, where logic is visual.
Due to the large scale of the colourwork, sizing is achieved by altering gauge. Sizes S1 and M1 are worked in worsted weight at a gauge of 4.5 sts/inch, while S2 & M2 are worked in Aran weight yarn at a gauge of 4.25 sts/inch. ??
The sleeve silhouette becomes less dramatic as the sizes go up, and all can be worked on 16” circulars until the cuff.
?Choosing a Size: This sweater is designed to be worn close fitting or with some positive ease. Choose a size very close to or just a bit larger than your actual bust measurement. Black and white sample is S1 on 35” bust, colour sample is S2 on 35” bust.?
