A little piece of jewellery, that is how I would describe this narrow beaded scarf. Not meant to be really warm, it can be used any time of the year, adding a little touch of femininity to your look.
Its construction is unusual but yet very simple and the result is amazingly beautiful. It is a nice idea for a meaningful gift for someone really special or even as an addition to your own wardrobe.

The pattern is named after an important character in the Brazilian history, Domitilla de Castro Canto e Melo, Marchioness of Santos , renowned for her vanity and other attributes ….

It features beads as a prominent part of the design.
Line-by-line and charted instructions are provided for the scarf itself.
The length is easily adjustable, as both ends are knitted from the bottom up and grafted together.

The beads must be pre-strung before knitting.

The given gauge or tension is for the suggested yarn and it is not particularly important.

You may also use a sport or DK weight yarn. Do not forget to adjust the yardage and needles.
