Diwan Socks
Diwan Socks are knitted ankle socks, with nice and cosy yarn from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrik.
The sock starts at the top and you can choose between two different cast-on techniques, dependent on what you prefer. Either with DPNs or an italian cast on with Magic-Loop technique.
Then after a couple of centimeters knitting you work the heel and the foot the same way for both needle choices.
I prefer italian cast-on and Magic Loop technique. The italian cast-on gives a very flexible but tight beginning around the ankle.
It took me two evenings, but I was thinking more on how to pattern this sock than knitting fast, so I would think two socks can be finished in an evening, if you are choosing a smaller size, as for the BIG sizes around 46-47 it will take 2 evenings.
Later there will be a video on YouTube to show how the PopUp Liner is applied to make the sole sticky, if need be.
